Bindi

When you called me and said,

“I want to work with you for 12 months. I have had such good results from the Frequency of Miracles process and my life is changing. I want to make sure my chance at really living my life works out. I know I can't fail with you. I want to work with you for a year.”

I really heard you.

Because this feels like a pivotal moment in your life.

So much of the groundwork has already been done.

The two properties have sold to good people for good prices. You are financially stable. You are settled into your updated dream home in the city. You have stepped away from teaching for a year and are enrolled at Adelaide Central School of Art for 2027. Your film scripts are written. You are ready to develop your art. Your writing is calling you. Your creative life is opening.

And your relationship with Pete is changing.

When I first began thinking about this mentorship, I thought part of our work might be finding out whether you and Pete remain together.

Having read your answers, I don't think that is the question anymore.

You have said very clearly that you want to live independently. What you would love is for the relationship to transform into a friendship -  to remain connected, talk, laugh and perhaps travel together sometimes, but to have your own lives and homes.

You called it:

Independent but connected

I think those words reach much further than your relationship with Pete.

They speak to something at the heart of this next stage of your life.

How do you remain deeply connected to the people you love without losing your freedom?

How do you remain generous without over-giving?

How do you support other people's dreams without putting your own dreams underneath them?

How do you love enormously and still belong completely to yourself?

And what do you do with all the freedom you have now created?

Returning to Your Template

You said that really living your life means:

“Returning back to my template and expanding my template with confidence and a light shining on me rather than under the bushel.”

I love this.

Because I don't see our year together as creating a new Bindi.

I see it as allowing much more of you to emerge.

You want to be positively recognised as a creative. You want family, friends and a tribe around you with flow, laughter, health and love. You want fulfilling relationships. You want to expand your wealth. You want to create meaningful things.

And you want freedom.

When I asked:

Who gets to emerge now?

You answered simply:

Me

That feels like the beginning of our year.

From Lecturer Back to Artist

You have spent years as an accomplished and respected Senior Arts Lecturer.

Part of that professional role has necessarily been to know — to analyse, articulate, interpret, explain, critique and come to conclusions.

And now you are moving back towards being the artist yourself.

The artist doesn't always know.

The artist can stand in front of something and feel it before understanding it.

She can follow an idea because it fascinates her without knowing where it is going.

She can suddenly find herself making a documentary because something happening in front of her matters.

She can write something without yet knowing what it wants to become.

I remember being at MONA with you and you commenting on the way I immersed myself in the art — feeling and experiencing it rather than immediately bringing an intellectual conversation to it.

You mentioned this again in your answers.

You said that experiencing first allowed for a much more sophisticated interpretation of Anselm Kiefer.

There is something important here for us.

You have an extraordinarily fast, intelligent and curious mind. I don't want to quieten it.

I want to give it more room to create.

You described wanting to create a space between experience and interpretation and then weave the details back in with greater nuance

That is exactly what I want us to explore.

Process rather than conclusion.

Experience before interpretation.

Allowing the conversation, artwork, story or idea to remain unfinished for a little longer.

Allowing the unexpected information to arrive.

Allowing your guides into the creative process.

Allowing your own ideas enough space to surprise you.

You said that staying in the artist's mind feels like spiritual practice.

I think you're right.

Writer, Artist, Filmmaker

When I asked which creative identity is calling you most strongly, your answer was:

Writer

So we listen to that.

You want your historical fiction published and acclaimed.

You want your film scripts taken up and turned into a mini-series.

You want to develop your painting and sketching, particularly botanicals, street scenes and beautiful, colourful, meaningful work that could become part of interiors and art collections.

You want to travel.

Italy.

India.

Beautiful places where you can learn, write, make, think and be stimulated by other people's minds.

You are interested in public speaking when you have something meaningful to say.

And what you want to explore through your creative work isn't superficial.

You are interested in the confusion and mist of trying to work out what we really want.

The pain and joy of love.

Learning to love oneself.

The places where politics, culture and emotion intersect and are experienced differently through race, class and gender.

These are big subjects.

I don't want to see you return to the grind of teaching because it feels safer than finding out how far your own creative work can go.

I want to see what happens when the writer and creative practitioner become the centre rather than the thing you fit around everything else

Creative Recognition, Value & Intellectual Property

You don't simply want to make work privately.

You want your creative work to be recognised.

Nationally.

You want people quoting your ideas rather than claiming them as their own

That distinction matters because you have had experiences where your ideas and intellectual property have been taken and used by other people.

So part of this year is about value.

Your value.

The value of your time.

The value of your intellectual property.

The value of your creative contribution.

The value of your money.

And the difference between generosity and over-giving.

You have an extraordinary ability to see possibility in other people and help create the conditions in which something can flourish.

I don't ever want you to lose that.

I do want your generosity to exist alongside discernment, clear agreements, reciprocal exchange and proper recognition.

You said healthy exchange feels:

“Freely given and respectfully equal”

That feels like a very good compass for us.

Your Wild Creative Lineage

There is another part of this mentorship that feels important because you and I share it.

We both come from highly creative Irish lineages — full of wild, wonderful and sometimes personally destructive creative Souls.

We understand something about that world in each other.

The Fae.

The forests.

The rebel.

The artist.

The refusal to live an entirely conventional life.

The need for freedom.

Your own lineage carries remarkable women.

Women who escaped.

Women who changed their names.

Women who resisted.

Women who found their way towards artists and writers and lives that weren't necessarily the lives women were expected to live.

You said the rebel in you protects:

“My inner playful exploratory child that loved animals.”

I love her.

We are not mentoring the rebel out of you.

We are not taming the wildness.

We are not making you sensible.

I want to see what happens when all of that wild creative intelligence is given a life strong enough to hold it

A healthy body.

Financial stability.

A beautiful home.

Time alone.

Good boundaries.

Right relationship.

People around you who love your spark and don't need you to diminish it.

Creative colleagues whose intelligence excites your own.

Enough space to disappear, think, travel, make, write, explore and come back again.

The old creative lineage doesn't have to keep repeating extraordinary creativity + personal destruction.

Your version can be:

Extraordinary Creativity + Extraordinary Life.

The wildness stays.

The artist stays.

The rebel stays.

But this time, the woman carrying all of that gets to thrive too

Your Galactic Self

There was a profound moment in one of our Akashic sessions when we travelled beyond our Source and looked back towards our Source and our system of universes and galaxies.

You told me it was the first time you had felt completely free, comfortable and at home.

In your answers you described it again:

Lightness. Floating. Unbounded. Free.

I have never forgotten it.

I experience you as an extraordinary Galactic Being who has come from a very long way out.

There are parts of you that make much more sense when we stop trying to understand you purely through ordinary Earth life.

And I think this is one of the reasons Frequency of Miracles has worked so beautifully for you.

You took to it like a duck to water.

You didn't just experience the process. You learned it, practised it and mastered it — and your physical life began to move.

During our year together I want to actively explore this.

I want to find and develop more Galactic processes that suit you.

Not processes for the sake of having more processes.

I want us to discover what genuinely works with your energetic architecture and helps you access more of your natural intelligence, intuition, creativity, healing capacity, vitality and freedom.

You said you want to understand everything about your energetic architecture.

Good.

Let's see what we can find.

I want to stop asking:

How does Bindi fit into life?

And start asking:

What kind of life allows Bindi to be at the peak of who she came here to be?

The Healer

You are not coming into this mentorship as someone new to healing.

You are an accomplished healer yourself.

You work with Reiki and EFT. You regularly work with my Akashic journeys and meditation recordings. You have developed a strong capacity to work energetically and you know from direct experience that energetic work can create physical change.

So I'm not interested in filling your year with spiritual practices simply because we can.

I want to find what is specifically right for you.

You have said you want to expand your intuition and connection to God.

You want to be led by Spirit.

You want to understand your connection with Pure Source and how that connection can become part of your creative direction.

You described being at your peak as being on your frequency wave and using that to create right relationship and build your creative recognition, career and pathway.

That gives us somewhere very interesting to go.

Independent but Connected

Right relationship is going to be an important part of our work.

Not just with Pete.

With everybody.

You are extraordinarily good at adjusting to other people.

That is a gift — until your own needs become so adjusted that there isn't enough room left for you.

With Pete, you now know that you need independent living.

You want the separation to happen with grace, light, joy and love.

You recognise the love that has existed between you and don't need to turn Pete into a bad person in order to leave the relationship.

You would like to eventually be friends.

And you want the financial completion to be fair

That last part matters.

We will work towards clarity around Chiton and what is fair and reasonable, while supporting you to protect the assets and financial security you have created.

And then we take the learning further.

What does right relationship look like with your daughters?

Friends?

Creative collaborators?

Future partners?

People who want access to your ideas?

People who want your healing?

People who want your time?

You said a healthy boundary feels like:

“Having the freedom to be my full self.”

That may become one of our definitions of right relationship for the entire year

Sasha & Zoe

Sasha and Zoe remain a deeply important part of the life you are creating.

You want adult relationships with your daughters based on connection, listening and support rather than repeating old family patterns.

You named the patterns you want to leave behind:

Alcoholism. Fear around money. Pride.

With Sasha, you imagine co-creation and supporting her creative career.

I particularly love your vision for the sewing room:

“A creative space where people come to get a spark of joy.”

Let's make that real.

With Zoe, you want connection and the ability to rest together. You want to believe in her freedom to take the risks that belong to her life and sporting career rather than carrying those risks for her.

And when I asked what you want your daughters to think when they look at the life their mother has created, you said:

“Amazed and inspired”

There's a mentoring intention right there.

Reclaiming the Athlete

Your physical self needs to be part of this year too.

You were a professional jockey.

Your body knows what it means to be an athlete.

It knows courage, discipline, physical intelligence, fitness, risk and strength.

You don't want the hardship of that former life back.

But you do want the vitality.

You want to feel fit and strong.

You want a body that doesn't ache.

You want to be lean, able to lift things and feel invigorated, healthy and ageless.

You enjoy Tai Chi, yoga, dancing and swimming.

You need rest and meditation.

And you said regular retreats, trips and periods away for self-reflection and creative development are so important.

Let's treat them as important.

Not as indulgences that happen after everybody else's needs have been met.

Part of Extraordinary Creativity + Extraordinary Life is building a physical life capable of supporting everything you want to create.

The Woman Who Has Already Survived

There is a lot behind you.

You have worked with alcoholism and now want to leave alcohol behind as part of becoming fit and healthy.

You survived an attack that brought you close to death and experienced the extraordinary healing of Ngangkari singing you over.

You were a professional athlete.

You raised two daughters.

You wrote a PhD.

You built a respected academic career.

You have bought, transformed and released homes.

You have begun again many times.

When I asked what all of this has taught you about yourself, you said:

“I am capable.”

When I asked what you know now that your younger self didn't know:

“Trust the process.”

And what part of your younger self do you want back?

“The funny free Bindi.”

Yes.

Let's bring her.

Not by returning to the past, but by bringing her forward into the woman you are now.

Leaving the Cupboard Open

You gave me an extraordinary image in your answers.

You described this point in your life as leaving the cupboard open and pulling everything out.

Looking at what has been sitting at the back.

Removing what you no longer need.

Taking out the destructive components.

And then consciously putting back into the cupboard the things you actually want for your life.

I think that may be exactly what this year is.

We don't have to put everything back quickly.

Let's leave the cupboard open.

Let's look.

Let's feel.

Let's experience before interpreting.

Let's ask the Akash.

Let's ask your Galactic self.

Let's ask your body.

Let's ask the artist.

Let's ask Spirit.

Let's give ourselves time to discover what actually belongs in the extraordinary life you are creating.

Five Years From Now

You gave me a very clear glimpse.

You are living in North Adelaide and travelling.

You are surrounded by creative, supportive, fun-loving people.

There are books.

Film scripts.

Exhibitions.

Historical fiction.

Your films are being made.

You are travelling through Australia, the USA, Europe and Asia.

International organisations invite you to speak.

You collaborate with connected, interesting co-creators.

You have dinner with friends, family and people who care about you.

You continue learning to paint.

You draw simply because you are fascinated by it.

Your home is warm and nest-like, with animals in it.

Your body is healthy and feels twenty years younger.

You disappear to Kangaroo Island when you need to hear yourself again.

You laugh with friends and through stories.

You feel alive because you are connected to the right people in your life.

And what are you contributing to the world?

Insights into being human.

That is a beautiful five-year direction.

But there was one answer that particularly caught my attention.

I asked:

Who has Bindi become?

And you answered:

Belinda.

I don't yet know exactly what that means.

Perhaps you do.

Perhaps neither of us does.

Let's leave that one open.

Our 12-Month Intention

This is where I see us beginning:

I know who I am creatively.

I protect my time and energy.

My relationships respect who I am.

I don't give myself away anymore.

I am independent and connected.

I am financially secure and free to create.

My generosity exists in right relationship with my own value.

My ideas and intellectual property are recognised and respected.

I trust the scale of what I am here to bring into the world.

I give my ideas enough space to surprise me.

I allow myself to remain in the artist's mind of process without needing to know where it is going.

I listen to my Galactic self, my body, my creativity and Spirit.

I am creating a strong, healthy physical life capable of holding my creative life.

I am surrounded by people who stimulate me, love me, laugh with me and want to see me thrive.

I am building a life strong enough to hold my wildness.

And perhaps most importantly:

I am not trying to become somebody else.

I am allowing myself to become more fully me.

Extraordinary Creativity + Extraordinary Life

This isn't about making you less wild.

It isn't about making you more sensible.

And it certainly isn't about putting that light back under the bushel.

It is about finding out what happens when your writer, artist, healer, intellectual, athlete, Fire self, Galactic self, Irish rebel and playful exploratory child are all allowed to belong to the same woman.

A woman with financial stability.

A woman with a beautiful home.

A woman with a strong body.

A woman with her own time.

A woman who can love without disappearing into somebody else.

A woman whose work is recognised.

A woman who travels.

A woman who creates.

A woman who keeps learning.

A woman who is surrounded by the true intelligentsia of creative life — people whose minds inspire and uplift her.

A woman who laughs.

A woman who is free.

The wildness stays.

The artist stays.

The rebel stays.

And this time, the woman carrying all of it gets to thrive too.
